Lab $tyle Transition: Winter to Spring
Winter to spring transition can be confusing because you never know what the weather fairies have planned. Here are some styles that help in that transition by providing versatility in fabrics, adding layers, and bringing back much needed color after a long dreary winter. 3 basic looks take any $cientist from weekdays in lab to Friday after-hours to weekend chill time.
Winter to Spring Lab $tyle 1.0™:
A simple sheath dress keeps your look versatile and easy. A soft neutral cardigan and silk neck scarf keeps the lingering chill at bay. The high boots are great for days writing up a manuscript or analyzing tons of data. Switch it up to flats of no higher than a 3-inch heel if your agenda calls for lab work or standing and walking for most of your day.
Winter to Spring Lab $tyle 2.0™:
This relaxed, but chic un-matchy-matchy “pants suit” is for those Fridays where you are ready to wrap it up and meet up with other $cientists for After Lab Hours™. The velvet sports jacket is borrowed from the much useful Men's department giving that relaxed vibe that is required at the end of a long workweek. Adding colorful metallic eyes keeps the optical organs poppin' for the day-to-nite agenda.
Winter to Spring Lab $tyle 3.0™:
A $cientists weekends are never without some consideration into their latest hypothesis, so looking pulled together while keeping it chill is top priority. A nice pair of leggings and a bright top paired with comfortable, yet stylish boots will get anyone through that quick lab check-in on her way to the farmers market and brunch. You can also add that silk scarf used in $tyle 1.0 to top off this look.
Remember $cientists…
always be original, stylin’, and baller.
